Shah Rukh Khan, commonly called by the acronym SRK or King Khan, is an Indian actor, TV personality and film producer.

SRK is considered to be the “King of Bollywood”. He has garnered numerous accolades and achievements, including 14 Filmfare Awards, and starred in more than 80 Bollywood movies. Khan has a mass fan following in Asia and the Indian diaspora across the world. He is regularly featured in rankings of the most influential people in Indian culture. In 2008, Newsweek announced him as one of their fifty most powerful people in the world.

Bollywood superstar, Shahrukh Khan was born on November 2, 1965, into a Muslim middle-class family in New Delhi, India. Although SRK’s father was a businessman and owned a restaurant, the family lived in a rented apartment. Shahrukh went to St. Columba’s School, Rajendra Nagar. He was brilliant in hockey and football and awarded the school’s highest honor, the Sword of Honor.
